Queen of the summer skies (Photos)

Thousands lined the shore of Seattle's Lake Washington this month to see Boeing's newest jumbo jet show off its power and agility. The new 747-8 Freighter, which recently wrapped up its certification flight testing, performed low passes and a "wing wave". The maneuvers delighted the crowd which had gathered for the city's annual summer celebration. Boeing photographer Leo Dejillas was flying alongside in a chase plane and captured wonderful aerial photos of the 747-8F's performance. Also included in this photo gallery are photos of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels flying Boeing F/A-18 fighter planes during the "Boeing Air Show".
