The Boeing-built Apache attack helicopter is a workhorse for U.S. and international customers, accumulating more than 3 million flight hours for the U.S. Army alone. And now it's getting even better. Boeing has developed a new variant, the AH-64D Apache Block III, which will give soldiers enhanced capabilities, including increased power and payload.
Military and industry officials held a Nov. 2 ceremony at Boeing facilities in Mesa, Ariz., to commemorate the delivery of the first Block III aircraft to the U.S. Army. Click the image above to watch a video story on the ceremony.
The Apache has customers across the globe, including Singapore. In mid-February, the Singapore Airshow takes place, and Boeing will be there.
