Betty Brekke, a Chinook test pilot, performs pre-flight checks before a test flight in Philadelphia.
Chinook test pilots Megan Robertson and Betty Brekke both began their aviation careers with the U.S. military; Robertson in the Navy and Brekke in the Army and the Coast Guard. That heritage gives them a great appreciation for their roles in delivering high quality Boeing products to the customer. In their military service, Brekke and Robertson flew Chinooks in a variety of missions including humanitarian aid, search and rescue, and combat.
Late in 2012 the pilots made Boeing history as the first all-female team to conduct a Chinook test flight. Watch the video to see their unique paths to aviation and their pursuit of excellence.
