External Honors (highlights)

Business Week Magazine (Sept. 2009) -- Boeing is one of the top 30 U.S. companies ranked as among the "best places to launch a career" for college graduates.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation (Sept. 2009) -- For the fourth year in a row, Boeing has been recognized nationally for providing an inclusive, nondiscriminatory workplace -- achieving the top rating of 100 percent in the Corporate Equality Index (CEI). Released each fall, the HRC Foundation's CEI report provides an in-depth analysis of large U.S. employers and their policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

Workforce Diversity for Engineering & IT Professionals magazine (Summer 2009) -- For the second year in a row, readers of this magazine for high-tech professionals, published by Equal Opportunity Publications, have named Boeing the top employer in the United States. Diverse professionals were surveyed in 2008 and in 2009 to rank the companies and government agencies where they would most like to work or that they believe would provide a positive working environment for members of minority groups, and both times they ranked Boeing No. 1.

Equal Opportunity Magazine (Spring 2009) -- Boeing was ranked the #1 most preferred employer by readers of Equal Opportunity, the nation's first career magazine for minority college graduates. Readers were asked to name the companies they would most like to work for or believe provide a positive working environment for members of minority groups.

Workplace Equality Innovation Award (March 2009) -- Boeing's "cutting-edge" diversity and inclusion practices have been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. One of only two companies to win the national Workplace Equality Innovation Award, Boeing was recognized for its transgender guidelines.

Careers & the DisABLED Magazine (Winter 2008/2009) -- Readers of Careers & the DisABLED Magazine ranked Boeing No. 7 among the top companies in the United States for which they would most prefer to work or believe provide a progressive environment for people with physical or mental impairments.

Women of Color in Technology (Nov. 2008) -- Eighteen Boeing employees were honored for their exceptional achievements in the fields of math, science, technology and engineering.

National Society of Black Engineers Employer Preference ("NSBE 50") Survey (Oct. 2007) -- Boeing ranked 5th
