Conservation
As a global aerospace leader, Boeing recognizes its responsibility to act as an environmental steward by conserving key resources.
The company has conserved water and recycled materials ranging from paper to plastic to asphalt. Boeing is boosting its recycling rates through a number of different initiatives, including the maturing of office recycling programs to reduce cans, bottles and paper from landfills.
Boeing has reduced total energy consumption by 37 percent in the past 10 years, but the company's culture of continual improvement mandates further action. Additional improvements through increased conservation and infrastructure investments are anticipated.
