International Space Station
It is one the largest and most innovative international on-orbit engineering achievements in history. Boeing designed, developed, constructed and integrated the International Space Station (ISS), a complex effort that included hardware and software from 16 countries, 37 states and more than 10,000 suppliers, often with first-time integration occurring on orbit. The overwhelming success of the ISS program and its on-orbit performance demonstrate Boeing’s core competency as a large-scale system integrator. Today, Boeing provides ISS sustainability and operational support to continue its work as a research outpost and a test bed for future technologies and exploration readiness.
