Employees from Boeing's 737 factory in Renton, Wash. hold up the "12" sign.

It is no secret people in the Puget Sound area are fanatics when it comes to the Seattle Seahawks. And with the home opener against the San Francisco 49ers looming, the “12th Fan” is at a fever pitch.

To show support for the Seahawks, Boeing unfurled 12th Fan banners from Renton and Everett factories, as well as sites in Auburn, Frederickson, and at the Seattle Developmental Center. Hundreds of Boeing employees put on their Seahawks gear to celebrate the occasion. “It gets the spirit going and everybody gets rallied up. We all wear our jerseys on Fridays and we have blast,” said an enthusiastic Shirley Allen, a 737 employee.

Boeing and the Seahawks have partnered together for more than a decade to support the communities its employees live and work in.
