Frequently Asked Questions

How long has the ITCFP been around?

The ITCFP began in 2002, and has been growing steadily each year.

What is the ITCFP recruiting process?

ITCFP recruiting is a three-step process. First, applicants must apply online through the Boeing Enterprise Staffing System (BESS) to the appropriate job posting. From this resume pool, candidates are selected and invited to a first interview over the phone. The final step is a second interview on site at a Boeing facility.

Do I choose where I work?

Upon entering the program, the first rotation assignment is predetermined by the ITCFP program manager. All subsequent rotations are coordinated with the program manager based on program requirements, the participant's preferences and rotation availability.

Will I relocate during the program?

No; however, your daily commute may vary depending on the location of each rotation.

Do I receive the same benefits as other Boeing employees?

Yes. As a participant in the ITCFP you are considered a full-time, salaried employee of The Boeing Company. Thus, you are eligible to receive the benefits offered by Boeing.

How is performance in the program evaluated?

Performance in the program is evaluated at two levels. The first is the rotation level. Each hosting manager will evaluate the participant twice during the rotation: at the mid-point and upon completion. The hosting manager assesses various aspects of the participant's performance in that rotation. The second is the program level, where the ITCFP program manager reviews your development and progress within the program.

What happens when I complete the program?

Upon completion of the program, you will coordinate with program management to transition to a permanent position consistent with both your career interests and the needs of Boeing.

What are my responsibilities to the program?

The ITCFP may participate in various community service activities throughout the year to support the local communities. Members of the program are expected to participate in these events. In addition, each participant may hold a job within the program such as coordinating special events, maintaining the internal ITCFP community page on the Web, or planning training events.
