Employee Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound
In support of their local communities, many Boeing employees give to an employee-owned fund, Employees Community Fund, which distributes contributions to area health and human service nonprofits. In 2001, employees demonstrated their generosity by giving $21.2 million in donations to IRS-qualified 501(c)3 nonprofits in their communities.
Administrative costs are paid by Boeing so 100 percent of employee donations go to help people in need. The Fund celebrates more than 50 years, and has given nearly $400 million since its inception in 1951.
Puget Sound area health and human services can read guidelines and funding process to see if they qualify to apply for Employees Community Fund grants.
