Chuck Woods is vice president and chief financial officer for Engineering, Operations & Technology (EO&T), which provides The Boeing Company with a wide range of technical services including flight testing of commercial and military aircraft, scientific and laboratory testing, information technology and advanced research and development. In addition, EO&T provides companywide leadership for Boeing's engineering, manufacturing and supplier management functions, integrates the company's environmental and workplace safety efforts, and maintains the company's patent and intellectual property portfolio.
Woods reports jointly to Greg Smith, Boeing chief financial officer, and to John Tracy, Boeing's chief technology officer and senior vice president who leads the 19,000-person Engineering, Operations & Technology organization.
Woods, who is responsible for managing EO&T's financial business plans, leads a team of finance professionals specializing in accounting, contracts and pricing, cost management, estimating, financial planning and analysis, integrated scheduling, rate forecasting and procurement financial analysis.
Before being appointed to his current position in March 2011, Woods served as vice president of Supplier Management for the Boeing Military Aircraft division. In that role, he was responsible for managing $6 billion in annual supply base expenditures with more than 3,000 global suppliers.
Since joining McDonnell Douglas in 1990 as a contracts and pricing specialist, Woods has served in a succession of finance and supplier management positions within Boeing. These include manager of International Contracts and Pricing for Boeing's defense business, director of Financial Analysis, and general manager of Supplier Management for the Global Strike Division of Boeing Defense, Space and Security.
Prior to his Boeing career, Woods held various management positions for the Jacobs Group, a nationwide shopping center developer.
Woods earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Truman State University and a master's of business administration from Southern Illinois University.
Woods, 47, is the Boeing executive focal for Truman State University, where he serves on the President's Advisory Board. He has held positions on the Truman Foundation Board including president.
