Aerodynamic Modeling (BEAMS)

This club was organized in Everett in 1992, and we bring together active Boeing employees/retirees/vendors, and their dependents, that are interested in the science and enjoyment of model airplanes. Members of all ages learn to design, build, and fly many different types of models ranging from hand launched gliders, rubber powered models, to much more advanced indoor model designs weighing as little as 1 gram or less. Also known as BEAMS, we focus primarily on free flight indoor modeling. We host bi monthly model building sessions in a classroom, and welcome all experience levels. Monthly day long indoor flying sessions are conducted utilizing the adjacent indoor gymnasium area. Our goals are to have fun learning to build and fly model airplanes, and to work together in accomplishing projects. We share our knowledge with all ages of modelers, in an effort to generate and cultivate interest in aerodynamics using hands on practical applications. BEAMS is a chartered club of the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics). Visit one of our events to enjoy the world of model aeronautics. We meet for building sessions from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, and indoor flying sessions occur on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All regularly scheduled activities are held at the Boeing Recreation facility, located on Seaway boulevard adjacent to the Everett plant location. Dues: Annual dues are $15 for student/youths, $20 for individual adults, and $40 for families.

Rueda de Casino

Rueda de Casino is a "social dance" style of what the rest of the world calls salsa. It's said to be a social dance because you need at least two couples to form a "rueda" or circle, and there is no set limit for how many couples can be in a rueda other than space limitations. The good news is that you don’t need a partner to come in and dance. One of the fun aspects of Rueda is that we are always changing partners and learning from dancing with everyone in the group. The Boeing Rueda de Casino Club celebrates diversity; not only in terms of nationalities, but also in the variety of disciplines and groups within Boeing. So come on and join us, have fun dancing and meeting new people! The Boeing Rueda de Casino Club meets weekly to learn new moves, share, work out, and have fun, and they welcome members of all skill levels. Membership is FREE.
