Douglas Christian Fellowship (DCF)

The Douglas Christian Fellowship (DCF) began at Long Beach in 1949, but its roots go back to the Santa Monica and Culver City plants in 1948, when a small group of Christians first met to pray and study the Scriptures together. The DCF has been a fully sanctioned nonprofit club under the auspices of the Recreation/Employee Auxiliary Services for many years. The DCF Charter is simply to promote reading and study of the Holy Bible, encourage applications of Scriptural principles to daily life, and to enjoy the fellowship of others seeking God's will and purpose through Jesus Christ and His Word. Primary DCF activities include lunchtime Bible studies, quarterly distirbutions of Bibles and Our Daily Bread devotional booklets, and annual distribution of pocket calendars. The DCF supports two World Vision children, has sponsored special speaking events, outreach banquets, participates in the National Day of Prayer and other Boeing related open house activities. The DCF invites Boeing employees to attend a lunchtime Bible study. Times and locations are listed in the Employee Times Magazine, published in Long Beach.
