First, the Braniff "Flying Colors" 727 from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Houston in 1969. Then on to Pan Am 707 Jet Clipper Polynesia to Chicago O'Hare International Airport, where I saw a TWA 747 on the ramp.

This was high living for a 12-year-old aircraft enthusiast!

Decades later, I've long since finished a 29-year U.S. Air Force career, with much of it as an aircraft mechanic and an A&P license holder since 1988.

I still think Boeing makes the best planes in the sky!
