I joined McDonnell Douglas on Jan. 4, 1982, after serving in the U.S. Air Force. I have always had a great love and passion for anything to do with airplanes. What little did I know at the time was I was about to meet my true great love.
For on that day I met my wife, who was a technical illustrator/draftsperson. We got married, had a son and have enjoyed almost 34 years of marriage. When I retired from Boeing, my wife was there at the retirement ceremony at work. This was fitting, since I met her on day one of my career, and she was there for the last day. I have had a great career with Boeing and am very grateful that my passion for aviation led to the love of my life.
