Several years ago, I found out about the survey concerning people's choice for the interiors of the 787 Dreamliner. I subscribed to the newsletters and replied to questionnaires together with my first son, as a way to involve him in a common enthusiasm for airplanes. We further watched videos about the Dreamliner's development.
Now, several years later, he is an aeronautics and space engineer, currently working for a master's degree in aerospace at Politecnico of Turin, Italy. At the moment he is at Caltech/NASA JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory), studying satellites.
So he's gone higher than airplanes, and I like to think that starting with Boeing was a big part of his involvement in a fulfilling field of work.
So thanks, Boeing.
