Linda Dantzler

Commercial Aviation Services Sales Team
Renton, Washington

"I’ve been with Boeing for 24 years. I joined Sales Operations in 2001 and moved to the sales team more than five years ago. I’ve been supporting the Europe region for the past three years. Currently, I’m working with a start-up airline that will begin passenger service later this year. Helping this new customer get off the ground and become successful provides a great deal of professional—as well as personal—satisfaction."

Organization Effectiveness Consultant
Renton, Washington

"Work cultures can be complex, so I try to keep my advice simple and practical. The biggest thing for me is helping leaders see things from a different point of view, so it changes how they approach a problem."

Employee Development Specialist
Chicago, Illinois

“I work in Human Relations on the training side. I’ve been in this position for two years, at Boeing for eight years. If a business says, ‘We need to develop engineers,’ I help develop a plan to leverage our learning environment to develop engineers. I create a class. I help structure learning. We use training and development to grow our talent to move the business forward. We have this talent, but it has to continue to grow and learn. My job is to help it do that.

I love aerospace. I love products that help people and really help move the world. One of my proudest moments was when the 787 launched. I was just getting into the company, but seeing how everyone worked together to make that product a reality, I was proud to be a member of Boeing.

The company has supported me and given me a sense of family. It helped me complete my master’s degree. It has helped me develop my career and grow as an individual. It has helped me through difficult life situations. One vice president told me, ‘We didn’t just hire you for the job, we hired the whole person.’”

Global Technology Visibility and Integration team at Boeing Research & Technology
Seattle, Washington

"The team I’m on keeps an eye on research and development that happens outside the company. We look at what universities, consortia or other companies are doing in research that might fit the needs of Boeing. In particular, I look for trends in technology, as well as potentially game-changing technologies, that could enhance Boeing’s competitiveness.

I recently developed a strategy room to help decision-makers visualize the important information they need. I joined Boeing as a design engineer working on the space shuttle main engines. This role suits me because I still get to stay active in technology, even though I’m not performing engineering work on a daily basis. I’m passionate about technology development, and this job lets me keep a hand in it, while also having input on the business side."
