Structural Tests Completed on Boeing 787 Dreamliner

EVERETT, Wash., May 03, 2009 -- All structural tests required on the Boeing [NYSE: BA] 787 Dreamliner are now complete. The final test occurred April 21 when the wing and trailing edges of the static test airframe were subjected to their limit load - the highest loads expected to be seen in service. The load is about the same as 2.5 times the force of gravity for the wing.
