October 30, 2000: We have posted a new report performed for the NASA Advanced Air Transportation Technologies program - A Preliminary Design Process for Airspace Systems - Initial Assessment (Chicago Case Study), which seeks ways to improve capacity by examining air traffic performance in Chicago. The report's authors include a number of C/AFT members.
October 26, 2000: Two new items on Required Navigation Performance: Required Navigation Performance for Improved Flight Operations and Efficient Use of Airspace is an article that appeared in Boeing's Aero Magazine (#12), written by Jeff Aimar of Boeing. Required Navigation Performance (RNP) and Area Navigation (RNAV) is a presentation prepared by Dave Nakamura of Boeing, explaining the concepts and the need for them based on future traffic growth and capacity constraints.
October 13, 2000: The Operations Analysis Focus Group Papers and Presentations page offers minutes of a recent telecon, plus an assortment of files that present data discussed at that meeting.
Sept. 28, 2000: A Method for Forecasting Commercial Air Traffic Schedule in the Future is a supporting document by LMI that we've added to the documents page. We also have listed New meetings for October, and reported on the recent meeting of the Operations Analysis Focus Group. Finally, we've listed another supporting document, this one called CODAS Documentation (Consolidated Operations and Delay Analysis System).

July 6, 2000: A Proposed Methodology for Operational Enhancement Integration Analysis is a new paper that provides guidance on preparing business cases for CNS technologies across operational domains. In meeting news, there will be a meeting of the Core Group on August 31, 2000 in Dallas, hosted by American Airlines.

October 19, 1999: All-Airline Meeting Presentations from the Toulouse Meeting are now available on the Meeting Presentations page. We've also added to the Links page a connection to the TORCH Project page (Technical, Economical, and Operational Assessment of an ATM Concept Achievable from the Year 2005). There will also be a Surveillance Focus Group meeting in Seattle on November 16-17, 1999.

August 26, 1999: We have posted vital hotel information on the page describing the next All-Airline Meeting in Toulouse, France, on October 13, 1999. Due to the scheduling of a rugby tournament in Toulouse at that time, hotel space will fill very quickly. It is imperative that you make your hotel reservation NOW if you are planning to attend the All-Airline Meeting.
August 23, 1999: We have posted updated information on the set of meetings to be held in two weeks at the Boeing offices in Seattle. See the Future Meetings Page for copies of agendas, locations and times, plus driving directions to the new Boeing CNS/ATM office at Longacres Park. We have also posted a series of Eurocontrol documents on proposed ATN implementation in Europe. Look for them on the Euro DL Papers Page (scroll down to "Other Papers and Presentations"). Finally, we posted a Powerpoint presentation called LAAS & Capacity: Alaska Air Group Expectations. May 5, 1999: We have posted new minutes and presentations for the European Data Link Focus Group, and also filled out a Membership List for the group. April 29, 1999: Data link sensitivity analysis databases (in Microsoft Excel) are now available on the ATS Data Link Focus Group site, which has now suspended its work with the publication of its primary report and accompanying databases. A new European Data Link Focus Group has been formed.
April 21, 1999: Dave Nakamura of Boeing has reformatted the Advanced Navigation Focus Group page, adding new material as well.
April 9, 1999: The final version of the U.S. Data Link Investment Analysis report is now available in Word format. Also, there are minutes of the Advanced Navigation Focus Group meeting from March 29-30, 1999.
March 17, 1999: The final report of the Aviation Weather Study is available, prepared for the Boeing Company by Charles G. Lindsey. Also, the FAA has published National Airspace System Architecture, Version 4.0, January 1999, the complete master plan for modernization of the FAA's air traffic system. Plus, you can read a new DOT Inspector General audit report, Air Carrier Departure Data.
March 1, 1999: We have posted a paper based on a study developed for Boeing, entitled Aviation Weather Requirements in the Air Traffic Management System, by Charles G. Lindsey. There is also a new report by the U.S. Dept. of Transportation Inspector General, entitled FAA's Progress and Plans for Implementing Data Link for Controllers and Pilots.
February 15, 1999: Data Link Facilitation Task Force minutes and presentations are now available on the ATS Data Link Focus Group page. The IATA-sponsored Task Force held its first meeting February 9, at which it proposed to adopt the C/AFT methodology for investment analysis!
