License Definitions
Maintenance Repair and Overhaul-Airframe (MRO-A):
Usage and Access: Offered to organizations certified by their local civil aviation authority to perform airframe maintenance, refurbishment, repair and overhaul work. Maintenance manuals, installation, and assembly engineering drawings can be obtained at the Boeing catalog price.
Insurance: Minimum of $200 million of Single Occurrence Aviation or Airline liability insurance is required.
Fee: No fee required.
Limitations: A Maintenance Repair and Overhaul-Component (MRO-C) license is required with a MRO-A license. Manufacture and distribution of Boeing proprietary parts are not allowed.

Are there any policy differences between an airline and a maintenance repair and overhaul facility?
We require a contractual relationship for all user of Boeing propriety information and materials, including both operators and maintenance providers.
By purchasing airplanes directly from Boeing, operators are licensed to receive access to information for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of their airplanes. Operators who do not purchase aircraft directly from Boeing and maintenance providers are required to sign a license and purchase a subscription to receive access to this information.
What kind of information is available?
A complete listing of documents and manuals available under the MRO license is available under separate cover. Examples include the Airplane Maintenance Manual, the Component Maintenance Manual, IPCs and installation and assembly engineering drawings.
How much are the data fees?
Information is individually priced and available in several types of media. Fees can be obtained from the Boeing Data and Services catalog. Additionally, some information is offered at a package price to accomodate a specific type of use such as airframe and component repair.
