Boeing Statement on FedEx 777 Freighter Announcement Contained in 8K Filing
SEATTLE, Jan. 12, 2009 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] is proud that FedEx has decided to exercise options to purchase 15 additional Boeing 777 Freighters. The options are part of the carrier's original 15-airplane 777 Freighter order from 2006.
Boeing will post the new airplanes to the Boeing Commercial Airplanes orders and deliveries Web site when all contingencies are removed.
Before today's announcement, FedEx is the largest holder of firm orders for the 777 Freighter.
