V Australia Takes Delivery of First Boeing 777

SEATTLE, Feb. 06, 2009 -- The first Boeing [NYSE: BA] 777-300ER for new Australian airline V Australia was delivered today at a Boeing Field ceremony. The new airplane, owned by International Lease Finance Corp. and leased to V Australia, is the first Boeing 777 to be operated by an Australia-based carrier and is V Australia's first airplane.

Shown during its flight test program, V Australia's new 777-300ER is outfitted for 361 passengers -- 33 in business class , 40 in premium economy and 288 in economy class.
