NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES
| The airport has noise abatement procedures. See AIP Espana on Aena Air Navigation Web Site LEBL AD 2.21 Noise Abatement Procedures for details.
As noted in the AIP, departure and arrival paths are monitored by radar and noise levels recorded for every operation 24 hours a day.
|
CONTINUOUS DESCENT ARRIVAL
(CDA)
| Note: regarding Continuous Descent Arrival (CDA) is not applied
yet, but it is planned. |
AIRPORT CURFEWS - NONE
PREFERENTIAL RUNWAYS
| The airport has preferential runways in effect between the house of 0700-2300 and 2300-0700 for environmental reasons. See See AIP Espana on Aena Air Navigation Web Site LEBL AD 2.20 Local Regulatons - Preferential Configurations for details. |

APU OPERATING RESTRICTIONS
At Stands in contact with terminal:
It is obligatory the use of the 400 Hz facilities. The use of
the air-conditioning facilities will be obligatory when the aircraft
air conditioning is needed. The use of the aircraft APU is forbidden
in these stands in the period between 2 minutes after blocks for
the arrivals and 5 minutes before off-blocks for departure. The
aircraft APU will only be able to be used when the fixed units
are not operative and the mobile units are not available.
At Remote Stands:
The use of APU is forbidden except for 10 minutes after blocks
for the arrival and 10 minutes before off-blocks for the departure
except for wide bodied aircraft that may be allowed to use it
50 minutes before departure and 15 minutes after arrival.

NOISE MONITORING SYSTEM
Noise monitors,
departure and arrival paths are monitored by radar and noise levels
recorded for every operation 24 hours a day.
Since July 2010, Barcelona airport has a new public tool (WebTrak) in order to
follow aircraft tracks and noise levels. This application can be consulted on
www.aena.es

system

NOISE LEVEL LIMITS
There is a Spanish regulation, RD1367-2007, which sets noise limit immision values for airports. This applies only a new infrastructures, but we use it as a guide. We started to publish these data in Aena-Web in January 2010. |
CHAPTER 2 RESTRICTIONS
| Chapter 2 airplanes >75,000 lbs are banned from operating
at airports in EU Member States as of April 1, 2002. |
CHAPTER 3 RESTRICTIONS
3/2010
Based on a Spanish regulation (RD1257/2003), the airport is going to introduce operational restrictions on marginally compliant stage 3 / chapter 3 airplanes. Now, the restriction are pended of approval by AESA (Air Security State Agency) and it is planned that there will be applied during this year. The restrictions are:
* It will not be allowed the marginally compliant airplanes which had not operated before.
* It will not be allowed to increase the operation number for the marginally compliant airplanes.
* Companies will have to present the noise certificates and the noise abatement procedures of the marginally compliant airplanes.
* Companies will have to present a gradual retirement program for the marginally compliant airplanes, so the retirement was total in 5 years and with a reduction ratio not inferior at 20% a year. |
