NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES
Standard Instrument Departures - SID + STARS on both runways - strictly adhered to.

Visual Approaches - Flights on visual approach to both rinways shall be established on final at least 6 nm from threshold.

Take-off and Landing of Chapter 2 Aircraft - According to the EU directive 92/14 - these airplanes are forbidden. Official government flights and MIL flights are excluded from the prohibition. Exceptionally and on explicit justification, the Minister of Transport may aughorize a take-off or landing with a non-compliant aircraft. The operator seeking an exemption shall obtain prior permission from the "Ministere des Transports" Tel +352 478 4413 FAX +352 46 7790.

Reverse Thrust - When landing, reverse thrust other than idle thrust shall only be used to an extent necessary for safety reasons.

Climb Procedure - Climb at maximum gradient compatible with safety until passing 3000 ft QNH, then maintain climb attitude and increase airspeed only after passing 4000 ft QNH.

CONTINUOUS DESCENT ARRIVAL (CDA) - NONE

CHAPTER 2 RESTRICTIONS
Chapter 2 airplanes >75,000 lbs are banned from operating at airports in EU Member States as of April 1, 2002.

All Cargo operations performed by jet aircraft with a MTOW above 34 t, certified to Chapter 2 noise levels are only permitted by scheduled operations designated under a bi-lateral air services agreement with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

CHAPTER 2 PHASEOUT
From April 1, 2002 all civil subsonic jet aeroplanes >75,000 lbs operating at airports in EU Member States must comply with the standards specified in Part II, Chapter 3, Volume 1 of Annex 16 in accordance with EU Council Directive 92/14/EEC.
