| A curfew is in effect at this airport. Aircraft
movements are restricted between 2300 and 0600 local time. There
are penalties for any unauthorized operation during the curfew.
Only the following aircraft may take-off or land at the airport
between 2300-0600 local time:
a) propeller driven aircraft with a MTOW of 34,000 kg or less
b) jet aircraft with a MTOW of 34,000 kg or less which meet special
low noise standards as stipulated in the Gold Coast Airport Curfew
Regulations
c) passenger and freight jet aircraft that have been permitted
to operate under specific quota provisions also provided in the
regulation
d) aircraft permitted using the airport as an alternate airport*
e) aircraft in emergencies and dispensations**
* Aircraft engaged in an international air service which is diverted
to the airport may land and take-off during the curfew period
without prior approval
** Aircraft engaged in domestic air service which is diverted
to the airport may land during the curfew period without prior
approval. Take-offs may be undertaken only outside the curfew
hours.
The curfew restrictions do not apply to a flight under the circumstances
such as emergencies. Operators may apply to the Secretary of the
Department of Transport and Regional Services for a dispensation
