NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES
1. Noise abatement procedures apply to all turbojet aircraft and any weighing more than 12,500lbs.
2. Runway 16L/34R departure flight path.
3. Down wind legs east of the airport should be flown east of the Crossgates Lake/Rankin Hospital area.
4. Turns from downwind to base leg for the final approach to Runway 34L and 34R should be made south of Interstate 20.
(5) Noise abatement - Local Control should apply noise abatement procedures to turbojets and aircraft over 12,500 lbs. departing Runway 16L/R as follows (except when weather is a factor):
(a) runway heading, or
(b) RWY 16L - 170 degrees at departure end, or
(c) RWY 16R - 120 degrees at departure end, and (d) When applying release instructions received from E/W Radar, ensure compliance with abatement procedures.
NOTE 1: Departure Control should maintain noise compliance headings until the aircraft reaches JAN 15 DME or 3000 MSL.
NOTE 2: VFR pattern operations east of the airport by turbojets and aircraft over 12,500 lbs. should make downwind legeast of Crossgates Lake. Base leg to RWY 34R should be south of I-20. |
