In exchange for participation in the Noise Insulation Program, homeowners must grant Monroe County an Avigation Easement.
Zoning Laws

Requested implementation by City of Key West.
Not Implemented to date.
The FAA approved establishment of compatible land use zoning as required by Florida statutes. The County of Monroe requested the cooperation of the City of Key West to establish this zoning.
The FAA also approved requesting the City of Key West rezone two vacant parcels to prevent non-compatible land use.

The FAA approved purchase, insulation and resale, with avigation easement, of non-compatible dwellings. Noise insulation, with avigation easement for existing homeowners is being offered first.
