NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

Pilots are request to avoid residential areas when approaching
the airport. Noise sensitive areas in all quadrants.
Pilots departing Runways 12 or 30 should file for the BRNGER ONE or SNDLR ONE departures. Jet aircraft should use the NBAA close in departure procedure. |
CONTINUOUS DESCENT ARRIVAL (CDA) - NONE
AIRPORT CURFEWS
Voluntary nighttime
curfew for all aircraft from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
with the exception of Air Ambulance, Rescue Aircraft and Aircraft
of the United States Government, for which there is no nighttime
curfew. The airport plans to publish a list of violators who violate
the curfew on their website beginning in the first quarter of 2005.
Voluntary restrictions for Touch and
Go Landings are:
Monday - Saturday, from 8:00 am until two hours after sunset.
No touch and goes may be made at Witham Field on Sundays, or listed
holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years)
Touch and go operations are limited to a maximum of three, then
either make a full stop landing or depart the traffic pattern. |
PREFERENTIAL RUNWAYS
Runway 12 is the preferred runway in calm wind.
Runway 12 and 07 are the preferred runways when wind exists.
Pilots may refuse to use a designated runway if they feel the runway
is unsafe. |

NOISE MONITORING SYSTEM
Map of noise monitor locations
ANOMS System with 2 permanent monitors, one on the approach end of Runway 12 and one on the approach end of Runway 30. There will be a temporary monitor that will be moved to different locations within the community.
Primary use of the system will be to automate noise complaints and track compliance with the Voluntary Curfew and the use of our Standard Instrument Departures. |
