(For all Taiwan airports) In reply to our question regarding the new noise surcharge, the EPNdB in the formula below is for take-off. 3/18/96 From our correspondence with the airport office, we have learned that a noise charge is now in effect at all airports within Taiwan. The following is the equation they provided on how to calculate the noise charge. As you can see, they failed to state which EPNdB they are using. We have requested this information and are awaiting a reply. (TWD 17.00 * MTOW)+(TWD 95.00*(EPNdB - 73)) Note: TWD is Tawian Dollars
