| Due to airport rules and pavement structural
limitations no aircraft operating at Teterboro Airport may exceed
100,000 pounds at the time of operation (landing/takeoff/Taxi -
Maximum Ramp Weight). It should be noted that the taxiways are from
forty to eighty feet in width. The majority of our taxiways are
only fifty feet wide and this limits the accessibility to the airport
to aircraft up to about the size of a B 737-200. Taxi ways 60 feet
or less in width will have engines extending over non-paved areas. |

NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES
AIRPORT CURFEWS
| October , 2006: The Teterboro
Airport Industry Working Group is formed and institutes five pledges
to the community. Three of these pledges directly relate to aircraft
operations:
1. A voluntary cessation of all non essential operations between
the hours of 2300L and 0600L.
2. A voluntary ban on the operation of Stage 2 aircraft at any
time.
3. Support of the 100,000 pound weight limit.
Mandatory noise rules: Runway 24 is the noise
sensitive runway. Noise violations are issued to aircraft that
on departure exceed the applicable noise limit by 1 dB. The limits
are: Runway 24 – 80dB between the hours of 2200L-0700L;
90dB between the hours of 0700L-2200L. Runway(s) 1, 19, and 6
– 95dB at all times.
A noise violation lasts for two years – if an aircraft receives
three violations in a two year period it will be permanently banned
from the airport. This is commonly referred to as the “three
strikes and you’re out” policy.
In lieu of noise limits for arrivals, operators are urged to follow
their recommended quiet flying procedures at all times on both
Arrivals and Departures as the surrounding community is very sensitive
to Aircraft noise.
See www.teb.com (Operations &
Noise) for more information.

PREFERENTIAL RUNWAYS
|
Between the hours of 2200-0700 aircraft over 12,500 pounds,
turbo-jet and those aircraft with known high noise levels shall
be issued runway 01 for landing and runway 19 for departures,
provided that a safety hazard is not incurred by the landing or
departing aircraft.
The priority runways are as shown below:
