NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES
Voluntary Noise Abatement
Procedures:
- Runway 30 is designated as the calm wind runway.
- Use best rate of climb, consistent with safety and ATC procedures.
- RY 12C/30C or RY 12L/30R for jet pattern work (1700' AGL)
is preferred.
When using RY30C or RY 30R, start right crosswind as soon as
practical, preferably before the powerlines (north, approximately
3.5 DME) to avoid residential overflights north of the airport.
- When using RY30L, on departure, start left
turn after end of runway to minimize low overflights of the
Williams Campus.
- Jets are requested to use NBAA Standard Noise Departure or
comparable aircraft manufacturer procedures.
- Propeller aircraft are requested to use AOPA Noise Awareness
Steps.
- Helicopter traffic please avoid low overflights of the Williams
Campus. Use a Northwest or Southwest arrival-departure corridor.
- Military aircraft terminate afterburner when safe to do so.
- Compliance with Fly Friendly Procedures are at the pilot's
discretion.
