Earth Environments - Centrifuge Lab

The centrifuge laboratory provides a facility and appropriate resources for developmental testing of products requiring a high constant acceleration environment.

Capabilities

The laboratory provides two 10 foot diameter centrifuge chambers with unloaded static acceleration capability to 500G, and loading capability to 40,000G-lbs.

Each centrifuge has shielded instrumentation slip rings capable of carrying 5 amps current. The maximum component weight is 250 lbs with a maximum dimension of 24"x24"x24". One unit also has a temperature chamber with a range of -100°F to 500°F.
