Boeing Winnipeg - Logistics
How We Buy Freight
Here are some important steps for carriers who wish to become freight suppliers to Boeing Winnipeg.
- Prospective carriers can contact Tracy Hemming, Procurement Agent, at 206.375.0288. The Procurement Agent will categorize the carrier (i.e. Full Truckload or Less than Truckload, etc) and will inform the carrier when that contract is up for bid. For local or specialized domestic service, contact our Customs & Traffic department at 204-831-2777 or 204-831-2463.
- Procurement sends an RFQ form (Request for Quotation) to the prospective carrier
- The prospective carrier completes RFQ and returns it to the Procurement Agent
- The Procurement Agent will review all RFQs with "traffic council" to award the contract
Note: As part of the selection process, prospective carriers must complete a Financial Information Request or "FIR" for review by Boeing Corporate.
