At Boeing Winnipeg, our Supplier Management and Procurement (SM & P) organization gives us a strategic competitive advantage as we strive to deliver best value to our customers. The SM & P group has helped Winnipeg Division lower costs and increase value by:
- Working together with suppliers to reduce inventory and improve cost, quality, delivery and customer service
- Holding joint training sessions on lean manufacturing techniques and value stream mapping
- Fostering cross-participation in accelerated improvement workshops
- Developing a local Canadian supply base, and
- Facilitating aggressive cost reduction
What We Buy
Our Supplier Management and Procurement group handles all the buying for production and for Maintenance, Repair and Overhead (MR & O) work which includes non-production materials and supplies.
