Boeing recently earned its top rank ever on an influential annual list of the most equitable, diverse and inclusive companies in the U.S.
Out of 1,000 companies surveyed, Boeing ranked 27th on DiversityInc.’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity list — boosting the company’s placement five spots higher than last year and 22 spots higher than 2018, when Boeing first cracked the Top 50 list, the publication announced Wednesday.
Boeing also achieved a first-time ranking in the Top Companies for Employee Resource Groups list (No. 9) and earned the No. 6 spot on the list for Top Companies for Veterans. U.S. corporations were evaluated for their diversity metrics, leadership accountability, programs, practices, supplier diversity and philanthropy.
“Each team member brings something uniquely valuable to Boeing, and we’re putting that diversity to work, creating opportunity for everyone to contribute as we work together to deliver for our customers and all those who use our products and services,” said David Calhoun, Boeing president and chief executive officer.
