Dennis Floyd is the vice president of Strategy for Boeing Global Services. This function provides strategic planning and support to the U.S. Government Services; Commercial Services; Business Aviation/General Aviation; and International Government Services businesses and the Supply Chain; Digital Aviation & Analytics; Training & Professional Services; and Engineering, Modification & Maintenance capabilities across Boeing Global Services. Floyd is responsible for the development and implementation of the function’s strategy and planning activities including alignment to Boeing enterprise strategy, benchmarking and positioning Boeing Global Services for growth.

Prior to his role as vice president of Strategy, Floyd served as vice president of Services Strategy and Business Development for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In this role, he led strategic planning and business development for the Commercial Aviation Services business unit. He was selected for this position in 2013.

Previously, Floyd served as vice president of Fleet Services for Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Commercial Aviation Services business unit. He managed a broad range of products and services including fleet management, freighter conversions, airplane upgrades, AOG services, and maintenance services.

Floyd was also vice president of Freighter Conversions for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, leading the organization that developed and managed production for the company’s highly respected line of passenger-to-freighter conversions, including all Boeing and Douglas freighter conversion models.

Floyd previously served as director of Aviation Information Services, responsible for development, integration and delivering to market Boeing products such as Airplane Health Management, Electronic Flight Bag, Electronic Log Book, Maintenance and Engineering Management, Maintenance Performance Toolbox, and various document services.

Prior to his tenure in Commercial Aviation Services, he was director of Strategy and Business Integration in the Boeing France office, and director of Strategy and Business Development for Homeland Security and Services for Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), where he helped with formation and execution of this new business unit in IDS.

Since joining Boeing in 1982, Floyd has served as chief engineer for Airplane Safety and Continued Airworthiness, a leader on the Airplane Creation Process Strategy team, test manager on the 747X development program, and test director on the 777. Floyd has also held IDS assignments on the YF-22A, F-22, B-52, B-1, AWACS and X-33/Reusable Launch System programs.

Floyd earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
