Greer Carper is an investing principal for Boeing HorizonX Ventures, with experience in corporate venture capital and strategy, product management, mergers and acquisitions, market assessment, and technology integration. Carper identifies and invests in startups around the world that are developing revolutionary concepts and business models.
Prior to his current role, Carper was a product manager at Insitu, a non-fully integrated Boeing subsidiary, where he led the Command and Control software offerings and the HoloLens augmented reality project. Before joining Insitu, Carper held several roles within the Boeing Military Aircraft Unmanned Systems program, including project manager for onboard processing payloads for manned and unmanned platforms. Carper also held the role of enterprise strategic technology integrator for Boeing Defense, Space & Security, where he facilitated collaboration between development programs in the unmanned market across Boeing.
Prior to joining Boeing Military Aircraft, Carper was the business development principal for Boeing Secure Computing Solutions, where he led business case creation efforts for future processor development, plus numerous sales and marketing functions including competitor assessments, communication strategies, and customer cultivation.
Carper has also held analyst roles in strategy and business development, specializing in numerous market segments that include weapons, unmanned systems, and platform cybersecurity, and he has supported business case creation efforts, annual R&D allocation, technology planning, market forecasting, and competitor assessment efforts.
Greer holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with concentrations in accounting and management of information systems (MIS) from Creighton University.
