Charitable Grants:      $57,000,000

The Boeing Company and The Boeing Company Charitable Trust, including university relations and the company portion of employee gift match, allocated and distributed $57 million in charitable grants in five interdependent community focus areas: Environment, Education, Health & Human Services, Civic Awareness and Arts & Culture, throughout the world.

Business Donations:     $45,470,000

In addition to charitable grants, The Boeing Company makes contributions that are mutually beneficial to the company and the community, including event sponsorships, memberships, and business donations.

Employee Contributions:     $39,466,000 and over 200,000 Volunteer Hours

The employees and retirees of The Boeing Company contribute to the Employee Community Fund (ECF) pooled fund, designated giving, employee disaster relief and matching gifts program.

In 2009, Boeing tracked over 200,000 hours of employee volunteer time in their communities. In 2010, a new volunteer database will be launched that more accurately captures all Boeing employee volunteer efforts worldwide.

In-Kind Donations:     $950,000

In-kind donations from Boeing include services and equipment calculated at book value. This total does not include In-kind Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) donations, which are recorded with no book value.

In total, over $142,886,000 from The Boeing Company, its employees and The Boeing Company Charitable Trust in 2009 went to help improve lives and communities worldwide.
