Chicago Employees Community Fund

The Employees Community Fund (ECF) of The Boeing Company is the largest employee-directed fund of its kind in the world. ECF is the only approved workplace giving program in The Boeing Company. It was established to allow employees to make voluntary, tax-deductible charitable contributions to their communities. 100 percent of employee dollars are invested, either at the direction of the local ECF board or committee or via personal designation by the employee. Boeing covers all associated costs for administrating the Fund so that employee contributions can have the greatest impact possible on the community.

The ECF of Boeing Chicago was established in October 2001. Grants are made on a quarterly basis to local nonprofit organizations from a pooled fund of Boeing Chicago employee contributions. Employees also may choose to give to a nonprofit of their choice through ECF Designated Giving, instead of or in addition to the pooled fund.
