ECF Grant-making Criteria/Application Deadlines

Apply for a Grant: Chicago

Introduction

The Employees Community Fund (ECF) of Chicago is part of an international network of Boeing employee-owned and operated nonprofit charitable foundations. We focus giving in five areas: Education, Health and Human Services, Environment, Arts and Culture, and Civic.

Agencies must qualify with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization and focus their work/services in underserved communities. Nonprofits are evaluated on their history and mission, their impact in the community, their success of recent initiatives, and their alignment to focus area interest.

Grants awards vary greatly in size. Award levels are based on the merit of each individual grant request.

Geographical Restrictions

ECF of Chicago will consider grant requests from organizations based in and serving the communities where our employees live and work. These include Chicago and its surrounding counties as well as parts of Northwest Indiana.
