Flight to the Future - Early Learning
Flight to the Future Grants -- Washington State Only
Strategy:
Increase parent and caregiver knowledge, resources, and support towards the importance of early learning through:
- Support of programs that promote parents as a child's first and most important teacher
- Providing access for an adequate level of information and support to parents
- Supporting parent and family outreach programs
Flight Future to the Future grant recipients must demonstrate:
- programs that reach broad audiences and address disproportional high need communities (ESL and poverty):
- culturally competent and promising practices:
- programs that have diversification of funds to ensure sustainability and growth:
- research-based education and programs for parents, along with parental involvement in care:
- strong research-driven curriculum emphasizing emotional, social, and cognitive development and:
- increase to strengthening families and reduced risks of falling behind.
Eligibility:
- Non-profits 501 c (3) organization providing services in King, Pierce or Snohomish Counties for children, birth to kindergarten.
- Requesting grant amount not to exceed $25,000
- Grants must address emotional, social and/or cognitive development for:
- Caregiver of children birth to five
- Parent education and outreach programs
Exclusions:
Capital campaigns, computer hardware, marketing or public awareness campaigns, and initiatives. In addition, The Boeing Company's eligibility and exclusions.
Instructions:
- 1. Applications must be submitted through our online grant process and received no later than June 13, 2008.
- 2. For an application to be considered, the Project Title must begin with "FttF Early Learning", then the title you have assigned it.
- 3. No late submittals will be accepted.
