Review of Nominations

Nominations will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

  1. 1. Extent to which skills are utilized
    • What skills did the volunteer use?
    • How did the skills utilized benefit the organization?
  2. 2. Community impact
    • What community needs are being addressed?
    • Did the volunteer's efforts help increase the capacity of the program to expand beyond its initial sphere of influence?

Nominations will be reviewed initially by a screening committee composed of members of the Employee Volunteer Council, a cross-functional, enterprise-wide group of volunteer leaders. The diversity of screening committee members ensures a comprehensive, balanced review and reflects a "One Boeing" approach to the review process.

The screening committee will forward the top 10 percent of nominations received to a formal awards selection committee composed of the GCC vice president and GCC leaders from BCA, IDS, Boeing International and Corporate.

NOTE: To ensure impartiality in the review process, identifying information (such as nominee name, business unit/function, etc.) will be taken off the nomination forms prior to being reviewed by the screening and awards committees.

Boeing reserves the right to use any nominee's name and reference his or her volunteer activity in any future communications, whether or not the nominee wins.
