Our Stations - Wichita, Kansas, USA
Our Wichita Station supports Boeing Commercial Aircraft, Integrated Defense Systems, and the Shared Services Group in Wichita. We also support Boeing Commercial Aircraft sites in Tulsa, McAllister, OK, Oak Ridge Tenn., and Rogers Arkansas. There are approximately 12,000 employees that count on us daily.
We protect approximately 13.5 million square feet of floor space that is a combination of heavy and light manufacturing, and aviation support.
Our station manning includes 1 Chief Officer, 5 Captains, 29 Firefighters, 1 Fire Protection Engineer, and a Staff Analyst who work a standard 8 hour shift, five days a week. Our emergency response crews are assigned to three shifts a day and five days a week.
The apparatus assigned are: (2) Oshkosh T-3000 Crash Rescue Vehicles, (1) Ramp Response Vehicle, (1) Type 3 and (1) Type 2 Aid Units, (1) Mini Pumper, (1) 1250GPM Westates/HME Pumper (4-03), and (1) 26' Hazardous Materials response truck.
