Houston Boeing Employees' Amateur Radio Society (HouBEARS)

The Houston Boeing Employees' Amateur Radio Society (HouBEARS) is open to all Boeing and certain other persons interested in Amateur Radio. The club offers assistance for those people desiring to obtain a Federal Communications Commission amateur license. The club supports a wide variety of activities ranging from emergency preparedness and public service events to mutual recreation in amateur activities such as contesting. HouBEARS maintains a Ham Shack (Radio Station) in building 91-51, Houston. Obtaining a license is a focus for those not already licensed but not necessary for membership.

Reach

Reach is a Boeing enterprise organization focused on employees during their first five years by helping them transition into the Boeing workforce. Reach exists at 12 Boeing sites nationwide. The Houston group was formed in 2006 and has over 150 members.

Toastmasters

Toastmasters is an internationally acclaimed non-profit educational organization dedicated to improving people's communication and leaders skills. We have 75 years of experience in helping people become better communicators and leaders. By participating in Toastmasters, all of your communication skills will improve, including listening, interpersonal skills, prepared presentations, and impromptu speaking. Toastmasters will also help you improve your leadership skills including how to be an effective team leader and teammate.
