Aerodynamic Modeling (BEAMS)
The club in Everett brings together adults, and their dependents, interested in the science and enjoyment of model airplanes. Members learn to design, build and fly many different types of models, ranging from hand launched gliders, rubber powered models, and more advanced indoor model designs, that weigh between 1-15 grams. Our club, also known as BEAMS, focuses on indoor modeling, mostly so that youth and adults can share this inexpensive hobby in a safe environment with experienced modelers. We host monthly "building and indoor flying sessions" at the Boeing Recreation facility in Everett. Our goals are to have fun learning to build and fly model airplanes and to work together in accomplishing projects. BEAMS is a chartered club of the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics). Visit one of our events to enjoy the world of model aeronautics.
Everett BEAMS meets for "building sessions" from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Everett Activity Center on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.. "Indoor Flying sessions" are on the 2nd Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
