F-4A - First of the McDonnell Phantom II Series (1958)
The two-place, twin-jet, all-weather F-4 Phantom II series, with top speeds more than twice that of sound, was one of the most versatile fighters ever built.
The F-4A Phantom first flew on May 27, 1958, and immediately entered evaluation tests by the U.S. Navy.
