Factory in Space (1984)

McDonnell Douglas and NASA signed a joint agreement in 1980 to permit testing of a manufacturing system onboard the Space Shuttle that held the possibility for improved pharmaceutical processing. In other words, the testing of a device that could someday lead to the development of a Factory in Space.
