Ready for night flight, U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport is prepared for night flying mission at Edwards Air Force Base, Ca. Six of the versatile transports are currently in the test program with the seventh aircraft scheduled to be delivered to an operational USAF squadron this spring. The aircraft in flight test have flown more than 300 missions and recorded a cumulative total of more than 1,100 flight hours.
