Boeing Continues Successful Launches of Mars Missions for NASA

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. June 10, 2003 -- A Boeing Delta II rocket successfully delivered to space today NASA's Mars Exploration Rover-A, also named "Spirit," that launched at an instantaneous window of 1:58:47 p.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 17A, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. NASA and Boeing officials confirmed the launch and delivery of the spacecraft was right on target, and the rover is scheduled to land on Mars in early January, 2004.
