First Glimpse of Fully Integrated Delta IV

Cape Canaveral, Fla., July 17, 2002 — Boeing technicians rolled back the mobile service tower at Space Launch Complex 37B, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., providing the first glimpse of the fully integrated Boeing Delta IV rocket. The Delta IV Medium+ configuration includes the first stage, solid rocket motors, second stage, a 4-meter wide composite fairing, and a simulated payload that will eventually be replaced by a telecommunications satellite.
