Delta IV CBC Rises to the Occasion

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida -- A Boeing Delta IV integrated Common Booster Core/RS-68 main engine unit is lifted to the launch table at Space Launch Complex 37, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The unit is being lifted by a fixed pad erector that will place the Delta IV vertically on the pad enabling technicians to make final preparations to the launch vehicle using a mobile service tower (MST). The MST was then moved four feet to simulate its normal position during this vehicle transfer activity. The first launch of the Delta IV is scheduled for April next year.
